My name is Efrem Kidane. I am from Eritrea. It is a very small country in East Africa, but it’s bigger than Malta.

I have been in Malta for five years and I am a student at MCAST (Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology). I want to study nursing in order to have good future.

I arrived in Malta in 2016, because of political problems in my country. Since then, I have never seen my family again. I can call them, but we can’t make video calls because in Eritrea we are not allowed to use the internet.

I love Malta's good and friendly culture. I’m even trying to learn the Maltese language to communicate more and to get to know more about Malta.
