“Knitting a safer life”

The family lived in Albania a happy and fulfilling life until a disaster happened. After this event, the family lost their securities and had to consider options to change their life circumstances. As Ireland seemed like a country that offers more security than Albania, the family decided to migrate and relocate to Ireland in order to be able to feel safe and secure again. Albania also has a great tradition of knitting, therefore this picture also symbolises the local traditions passed on from generation to generation.
